Liz Van Buren
Liz Van Buren is fairly new to the Waltham community, having moved here from Yonkers, New York in March 2020 just as COVID-19 was growing into a full blown pandemic. In Yonkers, Liz was highly active in the local arts community, showcasing her artwork in local galleries and city-wide group shows. Originally interested in portraiture and landscapes, Liz found her groove with abstract acrylic painting, experimenting mostly with contrasts of colors, textures, and mark-making, and more recently with alcohol inks. In her career, Liz is also an art therapist and understands for herself the therapeutic and healing nature of making art, and the value of expressing and discovering herself through her paintings. Liz is very excited to get more involved in the local arts community in her new home of Waltham.
