BARD

Barbara Ayala Rugg Diehl (aka BARD) moved across country from Nevada to Waltham in 2011 for undergraduate school, followed by graduate school. Working in her home studio and pulling from her backgrounds in theater and environmentalism, she explores accessible and tangible art. Mixed media art allows her to experiment with reusing items and fabricating with her hands, and reflects her love of combining fields and disciplines. BARD’s subject matter is as diverse as her interests, but many times circles back to themes of nature and climate change.
